The CA vs The ACA?

#1

Hello,

The general training firms provide is for the: Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales - ACA.

But I have seen some firms offering the: Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland - CA.

Why would a firm based in a London office be offering the CA when it is with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland?

Thanks.

They are generally quite similar qualifications - both well regarded

PKF and EY have decided to go with CA (but lately I think you have a choice with some roles to do ACA or CA)

I think all firms in Scotland do CA

The CA is a little bit more pressured as the modules are done close together rather than split like ACA
