I have recently had a job interview with a major insurance chain but got rejected. It was for an actuarial intership lasting 12 months. The thing that bothers me though, is that people who got placed with the company from my course are less intelligent. Some are just scrapping a 2:1 and have module marks in the 50’s, while I have an 80% average and never been below 70%. The interview went ok I thought, and was far from a disaster, so I just can understand why this happened.
Not everything is about exam results
