Phone instead of in-person interview - am I at a disadvantage?

EY

I have just been invited to an interview for a summer internship with EY and can’t make the in-person interview as I will be out of country (checked how much it would be to rebook my flight but could never afford it). They were actually really nice, checked if I could do it before I leave, called back but could only offer a phone interview. Of course I accepted but now I am worried that I will be at a disadvantage compared to other candidates! Has anyone ever experienced this? :frowning:

Hi Karolina

I can’t confirm this, but I imagine a phone interview won’t disadvantage you relative to a face-to-face interview. Just prepare well and make as good an impression as you can! Don’t forget also to take a look at this page on interview questions for EY:

Best of luck!
