IB application - 2-nd try

Hi everyone,

Last year I “successfully” failed the assessment day at one of the biggest Investment Bank in London. Now, I am wondering whether the fact that you apply for an IB Analyst second year in a row may increase your chances of getting an offer or adversely, my exclude your candidacy from the start (given that they know how you performed at the assessment day last year)?

Please, share your ideas and/or experience.

Thank you!

I dont think it will have a negative effect at all. I know of someone who interviewed at two ACs in two years before landing an offer there after a THIRD AC at the same bank.

just apply. there are like 12 IBs out there worth applying to. dont give up.

Many thanks wannabe_trader for sharing that.
