I’ve applied to a few different areas at some professional services firms (EY, PwC, KPMG and Grant Thornton) mainly in Audit/Assurance and Pensions Actuary. I’m from an engineering background and wanted to keep my options open about what I ultimately go into as I haven’t had much experience in financial jobs yet so need to find out what I enjoy most! I was wondering if anyone could tell me what career opportunities are available through taking both the ACA and actuary qualifications? It seems to me that the assurance graduate schemes could open up a wider range of opportunities? Does anyone know if is possible to transfer to different sectors after training as an actuary?
Thanks for your help!
