Applying for Articles

I’ve heard (or read somewhere) that once you meet the criteria for serving Articles, the selections are made on an almost first come first served basis. Is this correct? If so, when should I start applying? End of second year uni?

My feeling is that you should start to apply as soon as you have a reasonable forcast of what your grades are likely to be.

The answer is that if you look at the big firms they all have an intake quota and advertise on line for those wanting articles or those who want to study ACCA. You apply within that timeframe only.

As for the smaller firms and those local co’s who are certified as training centres a direct application to them is best.
