AAT- does it help NQs?

ACCA
#1

Many NQ’s who have fallen into that category for some time feel that all study opportunities have passed them by. AAT which was established some 30 years ago produces a qualification an accounting technician which has now created a high standing in the accountancy world.
The important part of this qualification is that it can be a stepping stone to ACCA if you so wish, once you got into the swing of studying.
AAT is not a strongly technical qualification but one which allows for a more rounded approach to accountancy issues.
Can someone who has taken this route recount their experiences so that others can benefit?
